Welcome to Toastmasters of Basel!

There are three Toastmasters Clubs in Basel: Toastmasters of Basel (English spoken) since 2000, Rhetorik Klub Basel (German spoken) since 2006 and Mutlilingual Toastmasters of the Univerity of Basel since 2011.

Each club meets twice a month.

A typical meeting includes impromptu speeches, prepared speeches, contests, seminars, and above all: loads of fun !

All meetings are run the typical 'Toastmasters' way: Informal, but structured, informative with time to also enjoy the informal chat during the break or after the meeting.

The usual Toastmasters Club counts between 20 - 40 members.

Why should you come to Toastmasters?

Being able to express one's thoughts clearly is one of the most valuable things we can ever learn. Toastmasters training provides the tools that enables participants to become effective communicators and leaders - all at a very low cost.

Toastmasters is the world's leading organization dedicated to helping its members learn to speak effectively, both in professional and personal situations, by using a set of manuals. Toastmasters is not a school with teachers lecturing but rather a club where interesting people like you help each other and learn together in a friendly and supportive environment. What's the background of Toastmasters?

Toastmasters is a non-profit organization which trains people to become effective communicators and leaders.

Toastmasters International began in 1924 and has more than 200'000 members in 50 countries around the world. In total more than 2 million men and women have benefited from the training Toastmasters has to offer.
